Still, another will say that creative thinking is what will make you a success. Here's the truth: The rest of these things are essential (not so much the software package, but the others). You have to be persevering and smart about business and creative if you wish to get ahead. However, none of those things count if you are unable to clearly communicate all of them to the people you want to buy from you.
Good communication means more than merely having a great sales page. A skilled copywriter can take care of that aspect of your project. A pretty website and lengthy FAQ are not what you need for good communication. A seasoned web designer and writer can do those things for you. Being a good communicator requires learning to handle interpersonal communication as well as your copy and site. So, how do you do that?

1. See to it that any email doesn't sit unanswered for over 24 hours. This is not a joke. You don't have to write a long note for each mail. All you have to do is pen a short note that says something like "I received your e-mail and will be sending you a full response shortly." It is a good idea to include a a portion of the email the other person has written when you do this. This helps the the other person to distinguish your email from the auto responders that everybody else is using.

2. Answer calls. It's not a good idea to screen your calls. You should always try to answer the telephone by the third ring. Do this even if the Caller ID tells you that the call is from somebody that you really do not wish to talk to. There's one good news about this rule. You don't need to be attached to the phone 24/7. Instead, simply specify certain "business" hours during which you plan on being available to take calls. These hours should be displayed prominently on your website and mentioned in your voice mail message too. And, of course, every individual who leaves a message deserves to have his call returned.
3. Check with customers to make sure that they received your memos, emails, messages, etc. This will show the person that you genuinely care about communicating with them. It will endear you further if you include something like, "Is there anything that I can be more detailed about?" so that, if they have inquiries, you can answer them.
